Your tapes won’t play forever.
Tape from the 70s, 80s and 90s is going bad, and soon it won’t play at all. Get your music off it while you still can.
About a third of what others charge.
As of April 2025. Decoding Dolby A, Dolby SR or dbx costs extra.
Drawn to scale.
Here’s what we do with your tape.
- 1
Check it
We see whether it needs thermal processing or mold remediation. If it does, we have the equipment and the protocols to restore it for that once-in-a-lifetime transfer.
- 2
Transfer it
Your masters play on our Studer A827, into WAV files through Burl Mothership converters.
- 3
Decode it
If the tape used Dolby A, Dolby SR or dbx, we decode it, so you get both the encoded and the decoded files.
- 4
Send it
You get a link to download WAV files that open in any DAW.

Send us your tapes before they go.
Tell us how many reels, ¼-inch or 2-inch, and whether they used Dolby or dbx. We’ll take it from there, lovingly and professionally.
